A client asked us for custom beer garden side tables using Bitburger beer crates. The client lived in Germany and the beer crates had sentimental value. At first, they asked for a custom removable top but the beer crates sat too low to the ground for their custom Amish built chairs. We came up with a removable base to give the crates a boost. The base has matching green metal handles epoxied into the frame. We left a little bit of a live edge touch to the straight edge base. We added rubber pads to the bottom of the base to keep the wood off the ground. The tops have pins that fit inside the edges of the crate so the top is removable and does not slide around! We left a natural live edge on the tops to match the rustic look of the beer garden!
